Moldovan-Made Wine in Ukrainian Bottles

The Federal Consumer Rights and Welfare Service, or Rospotrebnadzor, has ruled to ban all products of the Zakarpatsky Winery in Beregovo from the Russian market, says Gennady Onishchenko, Russia’s chief health officer. The service’s experts have reasons to believe that winery is selling Moldovan wines corked in Ukrainian bottles, KM.RU reports.

According to Onishchenko, Moldovan wines still appear on the Russian market, imported via third countries. Because the situation in aggravating, Russia is planning to impose additional import limitations in order to check all deliveries of Moldovan-made alcohol-containing liquids.
