Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin gave instructions to the Russian Emergency Response Ministry and Ministry of Foreign Affairs to render humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine and Moldavia residing in the flooded areas.

A spokesman of the Government Press Service said that “Chairman of the Government Vladimir Putin gave instructions to the Russian Emergency Response Ministry and Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide for urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to the flooded areas of Ukraine and Moldavia”.

In Ukraine, the zone of emergency covers the Vinnitskaya, Ivano-Frankovskaya, Zakarpatskaya, Lvovskaya and Chernovitskaya Regions. According to Vladimir Shandra, the Ukrainian Emergency Response Minister, the disaster took lives of 30 people. In Moldavia, according to official statistics, 552 residential houses have been flooded. More than 4000 people have been evaluated from flooded areas. 75 health resorts and recreation facilities on the banks of the Dniester River have been destroyed by the flood.
