According to the Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia, the kings were buried in Astrakhan, but in their will they asked to bury them at home. “We have transmitted all of our documents, and now our request is under consideration,” said Ilia II.
As reported by IA Regnum, the Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia was in Moscow from 18 to 24 November. He took part in the commemoration of the 65th anniversary of Patriarch Kirill, as well as held several meetings, including with the Russian president.
