On March 18, 2013 from St. Petersburg the Sevastopol-230 expedition; it is dedicated to the 230th anniversary of the city of Russian glory and the Black Sea Fleet. The event initiator is the NGO "Sevastopol City Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots (SGKSRS).
Members of the expedition will visit the cities of Russia, Belarus and Ukraine - Pinsk, Kiev, Odessa, Izmail, Ochakov, Nikolaev, Kherson, Saki, Yevpatoria, Sevastopol, Balaklava, Feodosiya, Kerch, Taman, Anapa, Novorossiysk, Azov, Taganrog, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Tula, Izmailovo, Pereslavl-Zaleski, Vologda.
During the trip photo and video of 1000 naval glory monuments will be captured. Photos and shots will be included in a book of series "Sea Glory of Russia".
The expedition included professor of history V.Dotsenko, reviewer L.Dotsenko, deputy chairman of the SGKSRS council of trustees V.Suprun, consultant A. Bogdanov.
In Ochakov they visited the A. V. Suvorov Military History Museum and took a picture of more than 15 sea glory monuments. During their stay in Odessa there was an exchange of books, a visit to the Veterans Submariners Museum named after the USSR Hero Rear Admiral N.A.Lunin , a visit to the museum of the legendary submariner A.I.Marinesko, the Museum of the Heroic Defence of Odessa. There was filming of sea glory monuments associated with the heroic defense of Odessa during the Great Patriotic War.
