At the end of 2013 in Russia a Federal Military Memorial Cemetery will open, said the head of the Defence Ministry's directorate for the perpetuation of the memory of those who died defending the Fatherland, Natalya Belousova.
According to her, the construction-and-assembling operations currently have been completed; preparations are under way for the completed project transfer to an operating organization of the RF Defense Ministry. The Memorial Cemetery is being created for burial of persons having special merits before the state.
Recall that in the U.S. there is Arlington National Military Cemetery. In its territory war veterans, presidents, chairmen of the Supreme Court and the astronauts are buried. Currently in the cemetery about 300 thousand people are buried; its area is about 3 sq. km.
