Medvedev to Attend BSEC Meeting in Istanbul
Context:

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will attend the meeting of the heads of state and government of the member countries of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) on May 22 in Istanbul, Press Service of the Government of the Russian Federation reports.

"On the agenda of the meeting is a discussion of the tasks facing the Organization, including the expansion of practical cooperation between member countries, the development of cross-border road, sea and energy infrastructure", it said in a statement. In addition, politicians will discuss the implementation of projects in the areas of renewable energy, energy efficiency and "green" technologies. Government leaders will take a decision to increase the export potential of the BSEC member countries.

The Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation was established in June 1992. Members of the BSEC are 12 countries, including Russia. The important activity of BSEC is the development of small and medium-sized business and entrepreneurship in the member countries.
