The Parliament of South Ossetia unanimously approved the candidacy of Erik Pukhaev for the post of Prime Minister, who previously served as Deputy Prime Minister of the republic. The candidature of the head of government was presented to the parliament by President Anatoly Bibilov.
"The Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia decides to approve the candidacy of Erik Pukhaev for the post of the Prime Minister of the Republic, submitted by the RSO President Anatoly Bibilov", chairman of the Committee on Legality, Legislation and Local Government Olesya Kochieva announced the results of voting. For the candidacy of the new Prime Minister has voted 32 deputies.
"Increasing the economic attractiveness of the republic, developing the economy, agriculture, raising the level of education, improving the demographic situation, providing housing and attracting qualified personnel to the republic are priority areas for the government", Erik Pukhaev said.
Previous Cabinet of Ministers of South Ossetia resigned on April 24, three days after the inauguration of Anatoly Bibilov, who won the presidential elections on April 9.
