NASA Suspends Shuttle Flights

NASA has decided to suspend all shuttle flights till the reasons have been found for the coming off of a fragment of the heat insulating tile during the launching of the "Discovery" spaceship last Tuesday.

According to Bill Parsons, program head, the shuttles would not fly till all danger has been removed. He did not specify for how long the flight program has been suspended, but did not rule out that the "Discovery" start was the last shuttle launch this year.

After the "Discovery" astronauts have inspected the surface of the ship using a special robot, it became clear that no significant damage has been made, and there was nothing dangerous in the way of the crew's returning to earth. As Bill Parsons said, there was no need to launch the "Atlantis" shuttle to bring the crew back.
