Georgian Brigade Air Lifted to Fight Against Russia by US Planes
The US air transports started airlifting Georgian soldiers from Iraq to Georgia. About 2,000 Georgian troops are currently stationed in Iraq. Due to escalation of the situation in South Ossetia the Georgian Government made a decision to return approximately half of these soldiers to Georgia.
To deliver the troops the Georgian rulers requested the services of the United States and Command of the Coalition Force in Iraq.
According to Colonel-General Anatoly Nogovitzin, Deputy Chief of the Russian General Staff, Georgia is unable to perform such operation itself. Vzgliad ("Взгляд"
