Russian Troops Forcing Georgian Army Out of South Ossetia

Ossetian militiamen say that hostilities in the zone of Georgian-South Ossetian conflict take place at least 20 kilometers south of Tzinval.

No explosions are heard in the city yet the artillery fire is heard well enough.

According to volunteers, only Russian troops are involved in the combat operations. The militiamen say: “Meanwhile we have a rest. But if needed we will go there”.

Russian helicopter gunships patrol the sky over Tzhinval. According to certain sources, they conduct reconnaissance in the outskirts of the city because it is not impossible that Georgian army or mercenary units sill operate there. Vzgliad ("Взгляд".)
