According to him, in this situation Saakashvili would better resign. “This is our recommendation. He committed a crime with respect to the population of South Ossetia. And it should be regarded as genocide. Therefore in our opinion it would be better both for Georgia and for the entire world community if he resigned”, the diplomat said.
In so doing, Churkin emphasized that Moscow is not going to interfere into the political life of Georgia, and the fate of Saakashvili should be determined only by the Georgian people.
