A Meeting of the Council of Heads of the CIS Members to Take Place in Kishinev
About twenty draft documents concerning intensification of the Commonwealth countries cooperation in overcoming the world financial crisis consequences, more intensive integration processes in the humanitarian, security assurance fields, as well as those directed at further optimization of activity procedures of charter and other bodies of the Commonwealth are expected to be examined at the meeting of the Council of Heads of the CIS Members. It will be held on October 9 in Kishinev.
Among questions of paramount importance offered for consideration, there is a draft decision on joint measures for overcoming the world financial and economic crisis consequences, introduced on the initiative of Byelorussia.
The draft decision provides for a recommendation for the Heads of Government of the CIS countries to abstain from initiating new protective measures for their own commodity producers, leading to further restriction of access to their domestic commodity markets from other countries of the Commonwealth.
