Iran Accuses the USA of Cyber Attack

Tehran has accused Washington of Stuxnet virus attack on its nuclear facilities, it was reported by Iran's Chief Nuclear Negotiator, Saeed Jalili.

According to S.Jalili, he became acquainted with certain documents, confirming that the attack had been done by the United States. He also noted that the USA itself are vulnerable to cyberattacks, and the efficiency of the Stuxnet virus was significantly exaggerated in the media.

Earlier the American media reported that the Stuxnet computer virus had been tested at testing locations in Israel, where analogs of the Iranian centrifuges to enrich uranium had been specially erected. Carrying out these tests was part of the American and Israeli joint efforts to curb the development of Iran’s nuclear weapons. The Iranian authorities have repeatedly rejected all charges of developing weapons of mass destruction, declaring the peaceful nature of its nuclear program.

Besides Iran, the Stuxnet virus in 2010 was discovered in the computer systems of several Asian countries, including India and Indonesia. There is no information that would have officially confirmed the responsibility of any country or organization for the development of the virus.
