At the plenary session “The Place of the EU and Russia in the new geopolitical structure of the world” council members of the forum, representatives of the European Commission and the European Council, the European Parliament and the Federal Assembly deputies will traditionally speak.
In the first breakout session the following question will be presented for discussion – “A danger of the strengthening right-wing extremism and neo-fascist movements in Europe.” The participants will discuss topical issues arising during the implementation of society integration policy in the EU countries, Russia and the member countries of the EU Eastern Partnership.
The topic of the second breakout session is “The contribution of youth in the development of public diplomacy at the level of relations between Russia and the EU.” Its participants will be young politicians from the Russian Federation and the European Union, members of the European Alliance of Russian-speaking Youth.
The final joint meeting will adopt recommendations of the participants of the Europe-Russia Forum to the upcoming EU-Russia Summit.
The Europe-Russia Forum is held annually since October 2007. It is a long-term initiative in developing non-governmental mechanisms of the EU-Russia political dialogue. The objectives of the forum: intensification of the Russian-European integration process in the humanitarian sphere, promoting a positive image of Russia and Russians in the European Union, the establishment and strengthening of personal contacts between leaders of politics, economics, business, non-governmental organizations, religion and culture of Russia and the EU.
