The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Transdniestrian Moldovan Republic “is actively working to identify specific parameters and mechanisms for Transdniestria’s participation in Eurasian structures in different formats.”
According to the press service of the MFA of the TMR, this was announced on August 15 at a meeting between Professor Kimitaka Matsuzato (Slavic Research Center, Hokkaido University, Japan) and Vitaly Ignatiev, Deputy Foreign Minister of the TMR. According to Ignatiev, the Eurasian integration is becoming a strategic vector of the Transdniestrian Moldavian Republic.
The parties also discussed the subjects of the peacekeeping operation in the Dniester region, the anniversary of which was recently celebrated in Transdniestria and Russia.
