The Ecuadorian authorities claim that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange will be allowed to stay in their country’s embassy in London as long as he likes.
According to Guardian, officials from Ecuador also continue to insist that the UK should give up a threat to storm the country’s embassy.
At the same time, the Ecuadorian authorities do not intend to secretly take Assange outside the UK.
Ecuador agreed to grant political asylum to Julian Assange on August 16. The British authorities claim that despite this decision they are going to arrest and extradite him to Sweden.
