This statement was made by the Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili after a brief meeting with the head of the Russian government at the Davos forum.
“We have just met, shook hands with each other, that’s about it. No questions not taken up,” said the head of the Georgian Cabinet. “There are no concrete plans that we will meet tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. There is a strategic plan - to restore relations with Russia,” Ivanishvili continued. Ivanishvili notied a certain shift in the relationship. “Trade awakens; companies began to collect the documents and will appear in the Russian market. We are waiting for Russian companies’ products,” said the politician.
“Naturally I do not have the euphoria that in a day we will resolve everything. Gradually we will untie knots, we have to gradually come out of the impasse in which we are unfairly,” the head of the Georgian government added.
