Israeli Air Force's air strikes against Syrian targets showed the real role played by Israel
The Syrian president Bashar al-Assad accused Israel of trying to destabilize the country. According to the Syrian leader, the Israeli Air Force's air strikes against Syrian targets, "showed the real role played by Israel in cooperation with foreign hostile forces and their agents on Syrian soil to destabilize and weaken Syria."
In addition, at a meeting with Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili, in Damascus, Assad said that his country's army is able to resist the "current threats and aggression."
Saeed Jalili, in turn, expressed his confidence in the Syrian leadership's "wise approach" to counter threats, and also expressed the willingness to continue cooperation between Tehran and Damascus in "countering foreign plots aimed at destabilizing the region."
