Today another protest action of the opposition will be held in the capital of Montenegro. According to a representative of the "Democratic Front" party Iva Baykovic, the rally will start at 18.00 local time (20.00 MSK) in front of the Montenegrin Parliament building.
"The bulk of the protesters will be presented by "Democratic Front" and ordinary people who support the idea of holding a national referendum on the country's accession to NATO and early elections to the government. In contrast to previous meetings we won't be marching through the city streets, and instead we have planned a performance on stage," - said I.Baykovic.
Responding to a question about why the opposition will be represented by the "Democratic Front", I.Baykovich said that other members of the Montenegrin opposition decided to take up a waiting position and try to find an agreement on possible reform with the chairman of the Montenegrin Assembly Ranko Krivokapic.
"Next Montenegrin opposition demonstration will be held on Wednesday, December 23, in Podgorica. And this time, as before, there will be a procession from the Parliament building to the building of the national television," - said the representative of "Democratic Front".
For more than two months mass protests demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic and his team, the formation of a transitional government, which is to hold fair and transparent elections were held throughout all of Montenegrin territory. The protesters also oppose joining NATO.
