Russian Submarines to Get "Bulava" Missiles Next Year

Admiral Vladimir Kuroyedov, Navy Commander-in-Chief, told journalist that as early as in 2006 two missile-carrier strategic submarines would get the "Bulava" intercontinental ballistic missiles.

"Inforos" has already reported that the submarines in question are "Dmitri Donskoi" and "Yuri Dolgoruki". It is uncertain as yet to which fleet – the Northern or the Pacific one – these submarines will be assigned to. Admiral V. Kuroyedov also said that during 2005 the testing of the "Bulava" missile complexes would be continued.
