Supplies of weapons and military equipment from the West to Ukraine are gaining momentum. Even exotic countries are engaged to help Ukrainian militants kill Russian people, not for political reasons, but because of their personal profit. This fall will see US lend-lease law for Ukraine be implemented stipulating long-term and continuous aid to that country’s armed forces. The mechanism for providing military-technical assistance has been developed and brought into service. Western sponsors intend to include all their potential to strengthen and equip the regime.
Pumping Ukraine with massive arms supplies has a number of other goals, either. This prompts active development of US and European military industries, profitable multimillion contracts and output expansion. The collective West benefits from a protracted and bloody war in Ukraine to mitigate its own problems, namely the looming economic crisis and domestic political upheavals. Hence increased military assistance to the neo-Nazi Ukrainian regime and supplies of both modern high-tech and conventional weapons there. Notably, an application has been made to change and expand the logistics of military cargoes shipped. Apart from the air routes, they will be delivered by sea as well, to embrace more goods.
To make the hotbed of hostilities flare up brighter, the United States announced the creation of an operational command to work along the Ukrainian direction solely. It will oversee the training of Ukrainian military personnel, Kiev’s arms delivery requests. Along with uninterrupted supplies, a phased re-equipment, training and rearmament of the Ukrainian army will begin to saturate it with high-precision weapons, increase the potential of rocket and artillery divisions, tactical aviation and air defense.
With the last formalities being coordinated, the United States has prepared a new package of military assistance for Ukraine worth a total of $775 million. It includes HIMARS-meant missiles, 16 105-mm howitzers and 36 thousand shells for them, 15 Scan Eagle drones, 40 armored vehicles, anti-radar missiles, TOW anti-tank missile systems, a thousand Javelin anti-tank complexes and 2 thousand penetrating projectiles. The Pentagon has announced readiness to provide Ukraine with the Excalibur GPS-guided artillery rounds. These are high-precision projectiles of extended range. Impact error is less than two meters. One projectile of the type may well replace at least ten conventional ones.
Also, Ukraine uses anti-radar aircraft missiles that are not listed among the official US supplies. Recently, the Russian side found wreckage of the American AGM-88 HARM, a high-speed anti-radar missile. Tail marking gave the producer country away. Thus, Ukraine gets both Pentagon-announced weaponry and some covert shipments with arms of unknown type, caliber and quantity. Explicit publicly notified supplies are supplemented with secret ones, whose presence is a mere fait accompli.
According to US President Joe Biden, in total, the USA will spend $2.98 billion to purchase weapons and equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine “to ensure they can continue to defend itself over the long term.” The program involves military investment in Ukraine and supplies for periods of one to three years.
Pentagon spokeswoman Jessica Maxwell said the research and development contract for 10 of the Switchblade 600 drones is expected in the next 30 days. She particularly emphasized their "capability as the Ukrainians are preparing their attack on Kherson and Crimea."
According to Bloomberg, the new package of US military assistance will include six NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems, 24 counter-battery radars, Puma and RQ-20 drones, VAMPIRE anti-drone systems, laser-guided missile systems, training and maintenance funding. And the total number of shells the Pentagon will hand over to the Ukrainian army before year-end is 245 ,000 155-mm ammunition and 65,000 120-mm shells.
Other NATO members are also rushing to contribute. Recently, British aviation has completed over a thousand flights to Ukraine to deliver more than 1.9 million rounds of ammunition, 5,500 anti-tank weapons, dozens of armored vehicles, 25,000 bulletproof vests, 86,000 helmets and other equipment. In fact, the Western allies are constantly driving their death-bearing convoys to Ukraine.
Germany also reported military aid supplies to Kiev. The total value of individual licenses issued by the federal government for the export of military goods to Ukraine from January 1, 2022 to August 8, 2022, is 686,44 million euros. The list of weapons sent and prepared for shipment is posted right on the Government's website. In September, Germany already provided Ukraine with 15 Gepard self-propelled guns nad four M113 armored personnel carriers. 20 70-mm rocket launchers and 2,000 missiles for them, over 155 mm 1,600 shells, 40 devices for fighting UAVs, 12 Bergepanzer 2 machines, and 30 MG-3 machine guns are waiting their turn. Germany will also bring a total of 255 Vulcano shells to Ukraine. These are high-precision 155-mm projectiles designed jointly by Germany and Italy, and capable to hit targets at a range of up to 50 kilometers. The upgraded version can strike targets located 70 kilometers away, including those moving. The projectiles are designed for land howitzers, with the guided version using an inertial-satellite guidance system.
As part of its military support, Germany will provide Ukraine with 20 70-mm rocket launchers, 2,000 rockets to them, according to the Cabinet’s website.
Another country engaged in weapons supplies is Spain, which will transfer its Skyguard-Aspide air defense system battery to Ukraine. The regime has already obtained 20 of its M113 armored personnel carriers, as well as a Spada 2000 anti-aircraft missile battery from the Spanish Air Force.
France will supply Ukraine with TRF1 self-propelled units this fall. This is an early model of the Caesar howitzer, renowned for its destructive power.
Slovakia announced the transfer of several dozen Soviet-made T-72 tanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Taiwan has handed over 800 Revolver 860 flying drones to Ukraine, each capable of carrying up to eight 60-millimeter mortar mines dropped by a revolver-like rotary drum.
Pakistan provided the regime with 122 mm artillery shells.
So, Ukraine is getting saturated and oversaturated with all the kinds of weapons.
