Russian forces destroyed another US-made Abrams tank of the Ukrainian army in the Avdeyevka area over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Thursday.
"The enemy lost as many as 95 personnel, 3 tanks, including a US-made Abrams tank, 2 infantry fighting vehicles, 9 motor vehicles, 2 US-manufactured M777 howitzers and 2 D-30 artillery guns," TASS quoted the ministry as saying.

"In the Kupyansk direction, units of the Western Battlegroup conducted active operations and inflicted damage by firepower on formations of the Ukrainian army’s 32nd mechanized brigade and 117th territorial defense brigade near the settlements of Sinkovka and Stroyevka in the Kharkov Region. The Ukrainian army’s losses amounted to 30 personnel, a tank, 3 infantry fighting vehicles, 4 motor vehicles and a Gvozdika motorized artillery system," the ministry said.

Russian forces took better positions and inflicted casualties on Ukrainian army units in the Donetsk area over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Donetsk direction, units of the Southern Battlegroup took more advantageous positions and struck formations of the Ukrainian army’s 24th and 53rd mechanized, 5th assault and 4th National Guard brigades near the settlements of Krasnogorovka, Chasov Yar, Kleshcheyevka and Spornoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army lost over 370 personnel, a tank, 2 armored combat vehicles and 19 motor vehicles in the Donetsk direction over the past 24 hours. In counter-battery fire, Russian forces destroyed a Polish-manufactured Krab self-propelled artillery system, 2 D-30 howitzers and 2 US-made M119 artillery guns, it specified.

Russian forces improved their frontline positions in the south Donetsk area over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the south Donetsk direction, units of the Battlegroup East improved their forward edge positions and inflicted damage by firepower on formations of the Ukrainian army’s 58th mechanized brigade and 128th territorial defense brigade near the settlements of Urozhainoye and Staromayorskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in the south Donetsk direction over the past 24 hours amounted to 145 personnel and 7 motor vehicles, it specified.

Russian forces inflicted casualties on two Ukrainian army brigades in the Kherson area, eliminating roughly 40 enemy troops and 3 armored combat vehicles over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Kherson direction, units of the Dnepr Battlegroup inflicted damage by firepower on amassed personnel and equipment of the Ukrainian army’s 65th mechanized brigade and 121st territorial defense brigade near the settlements of Rabotino in the Zaporozhye Region and Mikhailovka in the Kherson Region," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in the Kherson direction over the past 24 hours amounted to 40 personnel, 3 armored combat vehicles, including a US-made M113 armored personnel carrier, 4 motor vehicles, a Gvozdika motorized artillery system and 2 D-30 howitzers, it specified.
Russian forces hammer Ukrainian troops, equipment in 107 areas over past day
Russian forces struck Ukrainian troops and military hardware in 107 areas over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery of the Russian groupings of forces struck the Ukrainian army’s personnel and military equipment in 107 areas," the ministry said.
Russian air defenses destroy 131 Ukrainian military drones over past day
Russian air defense forces shot down 26 rockets of the US-made HIMARS and Czech-made Vampire multiple launch rocket systems and destroyed 131 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the past day, the ministry reported.
"During the last 24-hour period, air defense capabilities destroyed 131 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles and shot down 26 rockets of the US-made HIMARS and Czech-made Vampire multiple rocket launchers," the ministry said.
In all, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 577 Ukrainian warplanes, 270 helicopters, 17,483 unmanned aerial vehicles, 489 surface-to-air missile systems, 15,629 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,256 multiple rocket launchers, 8,559 field artillery guns and mortars and 20,303 special military motor vehicles since the start of the special military operation, the ministry reported.
