Russian troops destroyed the first Khmara electronic warfare station of the Ukrainian army over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Monday.

Russian troops destroyed the Khmara jammer in the Avdeyevka area, it specified.

"In counter-battery fire, the following targets were destroyed: a US-made 155mm M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery gun, a 152mm Akatsiya self-propelled artillery gun, a 122mm Gvozdika motorized artillery system, three 122mm D-30 howitzers, a US-manufactured 105mm M102 howitzer and a Khmara electronic warfare station," TASS quoted the ministry as saying.

The Ukrainian army’s losses in the Kupyansk direction over the past 24 hours amounted to 30 personnel, 2 motor vehicles, a 155mm M777 howitzer, a 155mm M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery gun and a 155mm M198 howitzer of US manufacture, a Plastun electronic warfare station and an Anklav-N electronic warfare station, it specified.

"The Ukrainian army lost as many as 420 personnel, a tank, 10 motor vehicles, 2 Gvozdika motorized artillery systems and a British-made 105mm L119 howitzer," the ministry said.

Russian forces improved their tactical position and repulsed seven Ukrainian army counterattacks in the Avdeyevka area over the past day, the ministry reported.

"In the Avdeyevka direction, Battlegroup Center units improved their tactical position in active operations and inflicted casualties on manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian army’s 24th, 47th, 54th and 115th mechanized, 25th airborne and 68th jaeger brigades near the settlements of Novgorodskoye, Umanskoye, Semyonovka, Novokalinovo and Ocheretino in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.

In addition, Russian forces repulsed seven counterattacks by formations of the Ukrainian army’s 25th airborne, 71st jaeger, 59th motorized infantry, 23rd and 115th mechanized brigades near the settlements of Umanskoye, Pervomaiskoye, Novobakhmutovka and Berdychi in the Donetsk People’s Republic, it added.

The Ukrainian army sustained roughly 295 casualties in battles with Russian forces in the Avdeyevka area over the past day, the ministry reported.

"The enemy lost as many as 295 personnel, a tank, 4 armored combat vehicles, including a German-made Marder infantry fighting vehicle, and 4 motor vehicles," the ministry said.

"In the south Donetsk direction, Battlegroup East units improved their forward edge positions and inflicted casualties on formations of the Ukrainian army’s 72nd mechanized, 58th motorized infantry and 128th territorial defense brigades near the settlements of Urozhainoye, Vodyanoye and Staromayorskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army’s losses in the south Donetsk direction over the past 24 hours amounted to 90 personnel, 3 motor vehicles, a US-made 155mm M777 howitzer, a British 155mm FH70 howitzer and a 122mm D-30 howitzer, it specified.

Russian troops inflicted casualties on a Ukrainian army brigade in the Kherson area over the past day, the ministry reported.

"In the Kherson direction, Dnepr Battlegroup units inflicted damage by firepower on the personnel and equipment of the Ukrainian army’s 65th mechanized brigade near the settlement of Rabotino in the Zaporozhye Region," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army’s losses in the Kherson direction over the past 24 hours amounted to 60 personnel, 2 motor vehicles, a British-made 155mm FH70 howitzer and a 152mm D-20 howitzer, it specified.

Russian troops wipe out Ukrainian command post over past day

Russian troops destroyed a command post of a Ukrainian National Guard brigade over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Operational/tactical aircraft, missile troops and artillery of the Russian groups of forces destroyed a battalion command/observation post of the 13th Ukrainian National Guard brigade and struck enemy manpower and military hardware in 110 areas," the ministry said.

Russian air defenses destroy 270 Ukrainian UAVs over past day

Russian air defense forces shot down 270 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and six rockets of the US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system over the past day, the ministry reported.

"During the last 24-hour period, air defense capabilities shot down 270 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles and six rockets of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system," the ministry said.

In all, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 583 Ukrainian warplanes, 270 helicopters, 21,137 unmanned aerial vehicles, 502 surface-to-air missile systems, 15,789 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,266 multiple rocket launchers, 8,884 field artillery guns and mortars and 21,050 special military motor vehicles since the start of the special military operation, it specified.
