An incongruity has developed in the US information space after the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. You'd think of it as earth-shattering news as a Republican election rally in Pennsylvania nearly saw the presidential frontrunner killed. But the so-called systemic, "legacy" media loyal to the Democratic Party have been seeking to obscure the incident by hook or by crook, focusing on whatever other topics. As if it was all about mere annoyance in Pennsylvania.
Meanwhile, the non-systemic, conservative media that often occupy the third or even lower position in the American information hierarchy, have come up with numerous pieces on the issue, with emotions running high in quite a logical way. "This is civil war!" the non-systemic press quotes wrathful chants that were heard at the Pennsylvania rally after shots were fired at Trump. And this seems to be a real reflection of people’s sentiment in America, which has been split into two irreconcilable camps, each of them ready to tear the enemy apart.
Just to give you some idea of the situation, let's quote a couple of instances. CNN’s article had a truly strange headline, to put it mildly, reading: "Secret Service Rushes Trump Off Stage After He Falls at Rally." USA Today published the following headline: "Trump removed from stage by Secret Service after loud noises startles former president, crowd". Not a single word about the shooting. The New York Times also failed to immediately declare what the entire country saw with its own eyes. And now, a few days later, it seems that the liberal press has got a general command not to focus on the attempt altogether.
“Even after Trump was nearly killed, the legacy media once again continued to prove how detestable they are,” the conservative American Greatness portal writes. " While we watched in horror, shock and sadness as the former president dodged an assassination attempt by mere millimeters, <...> no one should be all that surprised by what we witnessed—given the lies, smears, and falsehoods that the legacy media has peddled about Trump over the past decade", the outlet notes.
So, what is the truth the "legacy" American media are striving to hide? The most interesting thing (if the word is at all relevant given what happened in Pennsylvania) about the attempt on Trump is that the shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was immediately killed. Killed with a tidy sniper shot right in the forehead by a Secret Service agent. Any sane person, even if not related to the special agencies, would have asked himself a logical question: didn’t anyone even think of taking the shooter alive? But now the link to the assassin's paymaster is lost forever.
And non-systemic press quoting insider information reports that five minutes before the shots were fired at Trump, secret service agents got the "at ease!" command, that is, by the shooting time they were relaxed and exercised minimum control of what was going on around. Moreover, a private company contracted to provide security at the rally reported that shortly before Trump cheated death, someone "hacked" its drone hanging over the site. The device was rendered inoperative, and security services lost they "eye" watching things from above.
Even more strangely, the security agents saw the shooter on the roof where he started firing from minutes later, but did nothing, actually letting him do what he listed. But then he was killed right away himself. Isn't it weird? The non-systemic press keeps voicing all these questions, while the "legacy" press says nothing at all on the matter.
No doubt that the "investigation" will either find the shooter mentally ill, or a drug addict, or an exalted loner terrorist. In short, no political trace will be found as likely as not. Actually, thoughts of the kind have been even slipping into the "traditional" American press already.
In 1963, President John F. Kennedy was also killed by a "loner terrorist" Lee Harvey Oswald, as per the Warren Commission’s official version. The Dallas shooting took place on November 22, and as early as two days later, Oswald was also killed while transferred to another prison, as if by chance. And no one will be the wiser, as the saying goes. But still, polls reveal that half of Americans do not believe in the official version down to the present. Back to our days, everything was over a lot faster — within a few seconds.
Arguments about inconsistency and irregularity of action by both the secret service and all those supposed to ensure Trump's safety have been lying on the surface. All of this cultivates suspicions that it was the American establishment who masterminded the entire thing as its representatives have repeatedly stated that Trump should be kept away from power, no matter what.
And for this reason, the official authorities have promptly found… an "Iranian trace" in the Trump assassination attempt. "US authorities obtained intelligence from a human source in recent weeks on a plot by Iran to try to assassinate Donald Trump, a development that led to the Secret Service increasing security around the former president in recent weeks, multiple people briefed on the matter told CNN," the channel reported.
Indeed, while in office, Trump strongly supported Israel, which deems Iran as its archenemy. Moreover, he tore up the "nuclear deal" with the latter, returned all kinds of sanctions against it, and thus made life tougher for the Iranians. Yes, his return to the White House does not bode well to Tehran. But Washington’s "Iranian trace" nonsense immediately presented to the world community looks like an excuse for the American special services — "that wasn’t us."
Meanwhile, Trump is alive, active, and enjoying even more popularity after the attempt. He is a dare-devil now. And in case of winning the election, he will definitely deal with all the oddities that accompanied the incident, getting really tough on some of his hidden but heavyweight opponents.
And those willing to eliminate Trump have only got more incentives. It is not uncommon in the United States that an assault rifle serves a nice replacement for democracy.
