Two candidates in the US presidential election 2024 have been officially identified: Donald Trump from the Republican party, and Kamala Harris from the Democrats. The former has formulated his business program for America’s revival with an emphasis on "Job". The later has focused her campaign on the emotional "Joy" motive. Who is going to win?
Current president Joe Biden has been hovering over both of them like "the specter of Hamlet's father", though hardly willing to turn into his own bright memory, so to say. Thus, the official pre-election picture is complete, but lacking clarity that one of the named candidates will eventually occupy the US leader’s Oval Office in January 2025.
An amazing situation is unfolding before our very eyes. And the biggest question is whom will America entrust the right to govern itself at this moment critical both in global and domestic terms? Rivalry between the Republicans and the Democrats is becoming a battle over getting people’s mandate to own the country’s steering wheel and nuclear button in a rapidly changing world when any careless political decision of a US President is fraught with tragic consequences.
And does anyone really think that a couple of Dem candidates — Harris and her Vice President Tim Walz — will prove able to make the right fateful decisions in this critical era of a breakdown in used-to-be international relations?
Back in the beginning of the COVID-19 epic, it was said: "Things will never be the same again." Therefore, one can hardly imagine an unemotional Harris, who thoroughly considers US action plans in an ever-growing number of critical situations. To this day, she has not even formulated her own political program, except for promises to "curb food prices". By the Democratic National Convention, Harris had neither given a single in-depth interview nor held press conferences. She simply has nothing to say, and this has even become obvious to her most ardent fans. Present-day Kamala Harris is very reminiscent of Scarlet O'Hara, a character of the classic American novel Gone with the Wind, who distinguished herself with a phrase that has later become proverbial: "I won't think about it today, I'll think about it tomorrow."
Kamala, with her "Joy" attitude and without a clear stance on any issue, will not be able to effectively lead a state like the United States. And whether she inherits a qualified team of advisers from her senior comrades is still a matter of debate. People like Henry Kissinger have not been present in political Washington long since. It is not going to be Blinken to formulate Harris's foreign policy postulates, is he? Hence a real national problem that needs to be addressed.
It’s hard to contemplate that the so-called "American deep state" looks right through this collision or sleepwalks the fact that Kamala Harris’ "Joy" policy is far from what the state and the nation need within the existing circumstances. On the other hand, the Dems will have in their hands the very administrative resource that allowed getting rid of Trump four years ago. And here's the question: what is more important to America’s responsible ruling class — maintenance of power for the Democrats or national fate? Yes, many people there do not want Trump to return for a simple reason — he can punish his opponents, which is not a prospect they like. But Trump does have experience in ruling the country, and it won’t be easy to push him towards taking ill-considered action in world politics. And here we are, facing a dilemma — who should get the reins of power after all? And don't tell me that it’s up to the people to decide. The invisible masters of America will do that as giving supreme power to unprepared functionaries is more trouble than it is worth.
Therefore, we cannot overlook the abovementioned "specter of Hamlet's father", i.e. President Biden. Surprisingly, both our country and the USA have swept under the rug and never highlighted the details of a key document, adopted at the Democratic Party’s Chicago Convention in mid-August 2024. The document is called "’24 Democratic Party Platform". Things written there in black and white made it be promptly removed from sight so as not to unnerve the public.
This is what the American Breitbart portal wrote during the Convention: "The Democratic Party platform, released Sunday on the eve of the convention that is to nominate Vice President Kamala Harris for president, refers over a dozen times to President Joe Biden’s ‘second term’". And further on: "Biden dropped out of the race in late July. But as Breitbart News reported earlier Monday, the platform still refers to him as the candidate. ‘President Biden, Vice President Harris, and Democrats are running to finish the job,’ it says. The document refers to a second term for Biden on no fewer than 19 occasions." And then Breitbart quotes all the 19 of them!
A "misprint" in such a serious official document is unfeasible. What was it then? Does this plot twist mean that Kamala's nomination at the Convention is a "smokescreen" for conducting some kind of covert Dem operation in the upcoming election? Who in the United States would need a giggly president fixated on the "Joy" politics?
Let's conclude the piece with another suggestion, this time about Trump. What kind of a strange election it is when one can only guess the next plot development step even at the preliminary stage?! Anyways, it is not unthinkable that the "deep state", assessing the current "Job" vs "Joy" situation, makes its choice in favor of Trump against Kamala’s senseless policy. Why not? the United States does still have reasonable people.
By the way, there may be a Trump vs. Harris TV debate in September. Or there may be not as Harris always evades speaking to the nation, not knowing how to do it and uncapable to being taught to in the remaining couple of weeks. But after the fight, if any, Kamala's potential will become clear to the entire world. Do you believe in miraculous transformations?..
You see, with presidential candidates determined and the election day designated (November 5) there is still no clarity at all in the country. America is stressed out…
