Russian troops liberated the community of Zhyoltoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, TASS reported citing Russia’s Defense Ministry.

"Battlegroup Center units liberated the settlement of Zhyoltoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic as a result of active operations," the ministry said in a statement.

"In the Kharkov direction, Battlegroup North units inflicted losses on formations of three territorial defense brigades in areas near the settlements of Liptsy and Volchansk in the Kharkov Region," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past 24 hours amounted to 70 personnel, a 122mm Gvozdika motorized artillery system and three 122mm D-30 howitzers, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup West inflicted roughly 530 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed an enemy tank and two armored combat vehicles in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Battlegroup West units improved their tactical position and inflicted damage on manpower and equipment of two mechanized brigades, an airmobile brigade of the Ukrainian army, two territorial defense brigades and a National Guard brigade near Andreyevka, Redkodub and Kupyansk in the Kharkov Region, Novoyegorovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic and Torskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic. They repelled 14 counterattacks by assault units of the Ukrainian army," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past 24 hours amounted to 530 personnel, a tank, two infantry fighting vehicles, four pickup trucks, two 155mm howitzers, a 152mm D-20 howitzer, a 122mm Gvozdika motorized artillery system, two 122mm D-30 howitzers and two 105mm artillery guns, it specified.

In addition, Russian forces destroyed an ammunition depot and two Anklav-N electronic warfare stations of the Ukrainian army, the ministry said.

"Battlegroup South units kept advancing deep into the enemy’s defenses and inflicted losses on formations of two mechanized brigades, a mountain assault brigade and an air assault brigade of the Ukrainian army near the settlements of Kurakhovo, Novomarkovo, Ostrovskogo, Annovka and Uspenovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. They repulsed two counterattacks by enemy assault groups," the ministry said.

Over the past 24 hours, Battlegroup Center units "inflicted damage on manpower and equipment of three mechanized brigades, a motorized infantry brigade, an assault brigade and an assault battalion of the Ukrainian army in areas near the settlements of Dzerzhinsk, Shcherbinovka, Dimitrov, Petrovka and Pushkino in the Donetsk People’s Republic. They repelled eight counterattacks by Ukrainian armed formations," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past 24 hours amounted to more than 575 personnel, a US-made Bradley infantry fighting vehicle and a US-manufactured M113 armored personnel carrier, two motor vehicles, a 152mm D-20 howitzer and three 122mm D-30 howitzers, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup East inflicted roughly 160 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed a US-made artillery system in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Battlegroup East units improved their frontline positions and inflicted casualties on formations of a mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian army and two territorial defense brigades in areas near the settlements of Konstantinopol, Velikaya Novosyolka, Neskuchnoye and Vremevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. They repelled four counterattacks by enemy assault groups," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past 24 hours amounted to 160 personnel, a US-made HMMWV armored fighting vehicle and a US-manufactured 155mm Paladin self-propelled artillery system, three motor vehicles, two 152mm Akatsiya self-propelled artillery systems, a 122mm D-30 howitzer and a 122mm Gvozdika motorized artillery system, it specified.

In addition, Russian forces destroyed an electronic warfare station of the Ukrainian army, it said.

Russia’s Battlegroup Dnepr inflicted roughly 25 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed an enemy howitzer in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Battlegroup Dnepr units inflicted damage on manpower and equipment of a mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian army and two territorial defense brigades in areas near the settlements of Dneprovskoye and Antonovka in the Kherson Region and the city of Kherson," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past 24 hours amounted to 25 personnel, two motor vehicles and a 152mm D-20 howitzer, it said.

Russian forces strike Ukrainian army, equipment in 128 areas over past day

Russian troops struck Ukrainian manpower and military hardware in 128 areas over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Operational/tactical aircraft, strike unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery of the Russian groups of forces inflicted damage on amassed enemy manpower and military equipment in 128 areas," the ministry said.

Russian air defenses destroy 23 Ukrainian UAVs, 3 HIMARS rockets over past day

Russian air defense forces shot down 23 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and three US-made HIMARS rockets over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Air defense capabilities shot down three rockets of the US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system and 23 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said.

Overall, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 649 Ukrainian warplanes, 283 helicopters, 37,527 unmanned aerial vehicles, 586 surface-to-air missile systems, 19,720 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,500 multiple rocket launchers, 19,334 field artillery guns and mortars and 29,123 special military motor vehicles since the start of the special military operation, the ministry reported.
