Scandinavia and Baltic states sentenced to serve as cannon fodder
Public opinion in Scandinavia and the Baltic is being prepared for a potential war with Russia 18.12.2024 10:04 Igor Pshenichnikov, political analyst The American Wall Street Journal writes citing "sources" that US President-elect
Donald Trump proposed to deploy European troops in Ukraine after reaching a
possible ceasefire agreement to monitor its compliance. But Trump has never
publicly talked about the issue himself.
He allegedly informed French President Emmanuel Macron and Vladimir Zelensky
about this at their recent meeting in Paris. Also, Trump openly announced his lack
of support for Ukraine's accession to NATO. At the same time, he said Europe
should play a major part in protecting and supporting Ukraine, for which reason he
wants European troops deployed in Ukraine to monitor a ceasefire. According to
the same "sources", he did not rule out US support for the agreement, though
without American troops engaged.
From all has been said it follows that the new US administration intends to move
away from the conflict in Ukraine and pass the "management" of it over to the
Europeans. To what extent does the decision meet Trump’s interests? To the one
ensuring that the United States distances itself from the real further expenses as
regards Ukraine.
But it is still absolutely clear that there are forces in Europe that do want the
conflict with Russia to go on, and to such a point where a major war becomes
inevitable for all the NATO members, including the United States. The exponent
of these ideas is Macron (apart from Zelensky, of course), who has been talking for
months about the need to send some kind of Western military contingent to
Ukraine, which would either deter Russia from further advancing westwards, or
serve as a "peacekeeping force" after a deal is signed with Moscow.
If such a Western contingent is officially introduced into Ukraine at Kiev's request
without consent from Russia, the latter will deem it as a legitimate target. And this
implies that the next stage of the provocation would be beginning of a direct clash
between Russia and NATO member states. This is exactly what those willing to
turn the war in Ukraine into one between Russia and the entire bloc are seeking to
achieve, which Trump loathes. And the exponent puppet of these dangerous plans
is Macron.
Small wonder that he was the "third wheel" at the Zelensky-Trump meeting in
Paris. And it was not Zelensky, but above all Macron, who peddled the idea of
sending a foreign military contingent to Ukraine. The question arises as to what
countries are ready to send their soldiers to die in Ukraine? It's time to recall the
summit of the Nordic countries, Baltic and Poland that took place in Harpsund,
Sweden a couple of weeks ago, but came unnoticed in Russia. The heads of
government from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Estonia and Latvia
who gathered there made clear they were fulfilling someone's will, which plans to
shift the entire burden of the West's war with Russia not to Europe as a whole, but
to them specifically.
The case was presented in such a way that Trump's election for a second
presidential term "has raised questions about the US’ commitment to supporting
Ukraine in its war against Russia and about Washington’s role in NATO." And
therefore, countries of Northern Europe, Baltic States and Poland should take
"responsibility" for Ukraine.
All these passages suggest that forces pulling Macron’s strings are the very
American "deep state" that Trump opposes. And who else can so passionately
desire a war between Europe and Russia? Not Europe itself, after all. In the
Harpsund summit context, the Swedish press wrote that the Nordic countries
would be the "first to meet" Russia's attack, as if it had already been pre-arranged.
A clear thing in this respect is that the Northern European states and Poland are
assigned the role of cannon fodder in the US "deep state’s" planned war with
Russia.
The crux of the biscuit and at the same time the weird Swedish summit’s
explanation was the video-link speech by the same Macron, who outlined his
leadership of the process. Now, after the trilateral meeting between him, Trump
and Zelensky in Paris and after The Wall Street Journal’s report, the puzzle has
been finally completed. The Scandinavians and the Balts are those unfortunate
ones forced to respond to Macron's call to sacrifice their soldiers.
Suffice it to read Swedish yellow sheets to understand that the relevant decision
has been made. The mentioned countries are being prepared for the fait accompli
that they will have to send their people to death "for the freedom of Ukraine" to
"defend Europe from Russian aggression."
The military coordination in these countries has already gotten underway. A small
factory newspaper Ystads Allehanda from the very south of Sweden reports that
"550 soldiers from the 7th Revingehed regiment will head for Latvia for a couple of
weeks to join the combined NATO contingent." "Young people are inspired and
very proud of the chance to take part in the mission aimed to deter Russia's
invasion of the Baltic States. Despite their families’ concerns, they are all ready to
hit the road and feel that their tanks will cope with repelling an aggression," Ystads
Allehanda writes in dead earnest.
Another proof of Scandinavia being prepared for war with Russia is the fact that
people throughout the entire region have received paper or electronic survival
pamphlets in case of crisis or war. With such a thing having existed before in
Norway as a long-time NATO member, for the recently neutral Sweden and
Finland it is a big portion of "exotics" frightening the locals a lot.
And what about Poland? Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who also attended
the Harpsund summit, was said to have endorsed the venue’s bullying and angry
final statement but eventually refused an official deployment of Polish troops in
Ukraine or anywhere else. That is why Macron hastened to Warsaw the other day –
to persuade Tusk not to leave the Scandinavians and the Balts out in the cold. But
the Poles do not want to die. "We are not planning any actions of the kind yet,"
Tusk told reporters after a meeting with Macron, speaking about his initiative to
create an "international peacekeeping force" in Ukraine.
So far, Macron's Napoleonic plans – rather belonging to those whom he serves as a
mouthpiece – have been a failure. But this does not mean that Scandinavia and the
Baltic will take a step back and change the tone of their media that has been
successfully brainwashing local citizens.
Poland is no longer part of the group whom the American "deep state" would like
to sacrifice. But Finland is still there, with its long border with Russia. For the time
being, it is accumulating forces and means, along with Sweden and other
Scandinavian and Baltic countries, to sacrifice itself and its people for overseas
masters not going to contribute anything themselves.
