Russian troops liberated the settlement of Volkovo in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, TASS reported citing Russia’s Defense Ministry.

"Battlegroup Center units continued moving deep into the enemy’s defenses and liberated the settlement of Volkovo in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said in a statement.

Russia’s Battlegroup North inflicted roughly 60 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed four enemy artillery guns in its area of responsibility in the Kharkov Region over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Battlegroup North units operating in the Kharkov direction inflicted casualties on formations of a motorized infantry brigade of the Ukrainian army near the settlement of Volchansk in the Kharkov Region," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army lost an estimated 60 personnel, a tank, an armored combat vehicle, two motor vehicles and four field artillery guns in that frontline area over the past 24 hours, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup West inflicts over 510 casualties on Ukrainian army in past day

Russia’s Battlegroup West inflicted more than 510 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed seven enemy armored combat vehicles in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Battlegroup West units gained better lines and positions and inflicted damage on manpower and equipment of two mechanized brigades and an infantry brigade of the Ukrainian army in areas near the settlements of Novoyegorovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Drobyshevo, Kolodezi, Seversk and Yampol in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Dvurechnaya, Glushkovka, Zelyony Gai and Lozovaya in the Kharkov Region," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past 24 hours totaled more than 510 personnel, seven armored combat vehicles, including a US-made M113 armored personnel carrier, 17 motor vehicles and ten field artillery guns, among them five Western-made weapons, it specified.

In addition, Russian forces destroyed two field ammunition depots of the Ukrainian army, it said.

Russia’s Battlegroup South inflicted roughly 290 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed seven enemy artillery guns in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Battlegroup South units improved their tactical position and inflicted casualties on formations of two mechanized brigades, a motorized infantry brigade and an assault brigade of the Ukrainian army in areas near the settlements of Konstantinovka, Druzhkovka, Izhevka, Predtechino, Belogorovka, Verkhnekamenskoye, Ivano-Daryevka, Orekhovo-Vasilevka, Yantarnoye and Chasov Yar in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army lost an estimated 290 personnel, two motor vehicles and seven field artillery guns, including four NATO-produced weapons in that frontline area over the past 24 hours, it specified.

In addition, Russian forces destroyed an ammunition depot and an electronic warfare station of the Ukrainian army over the past 24 hours, it said.

During the last 24-hour period, Battlegroup Center units "inflicted damage on manpower and equipment of four mechanized brigades and a motorized infantry brigade of the Ukrainian army, a National Guard brigade and two territorial defense brigades in areas near the settlements of Shcherbinovka, Petrovka, Dzerzhinsk, Lysovka, Baranovka, Slavyanka, Novoyelizavetovka, Solyonoye, Novoaleksandrovka and Novovasilevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.

Russia’s Battlegroup East inflicted roughly 120 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed an enemy tank and three artillery guns in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Battlegroup East units continued moving deep into the enemy’s defenses and inflicted casualties on formations of two mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian army, a marine infantry brigade and a National Guard brigade in areas near the settlements of Otradnoye, Novopol, Zelyony Kut, Velikaya Novosyolka, Konstantinopol, Novy Komar and Bogatyr in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past 24 hours amounted to 120 personnel, a tank, an armored combat vehicle, a motor vehicle and three artillery guns, including a British-made FH70 howitzer, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup Dnepr inflicted roughly 100 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed an enemy ammunition depot in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry said.

"Battlegroup Dnepr units inflicted damage on manpower and equipment of a mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian army, a marine infantry brigade and a territorial defense brigade in areas near the settlements of Kamenskoye in the Zaporozhye Region, Daryevka, Mylovoye, Pridneprovskoye and Antonovka in the Kherson Region," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past 24 hours amounted to 100 personnel, 11 motor vehicles and three field artillery guns, it specified.

In addition, Russian forces destroyed an electronic warfare station and an ammunition depot of the Ukrainian army, it said.

Russian forces strike energy site of Ukrainian defense enterprise over past day

Russian forces struck an energy facility of a Ukrainian military-industrial enterprise over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Operational/tactical aircraft, attack unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery of the Russian groups of forces struck an energy facility of a Ukrainian military-industrial enterprise, the infrastructure of military airfields, assembly and storage sites of unmanned aerial vehicles and also amassed enemy manpower and equipment in 148 areas," the ministry said.

Russian air defenses destroy 156 Ukrainian UAVs, four Hammer smart bombs in past day

Russian air defense forces shot down four Hammer smart bombs and 156 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Air defense capabilities shot down four French-made Hammer guided aerial bombs, six rockets of the US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system and 156 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles, including 55 UAVs outside the special military operation area," the ministry said.

Russian forces destroy over 41,000 UAVs in Ukraine operation

Russian forces have destroyed more than 41,000 unmanned aerial vehicles of the Ukrainian army since the start of the special military operation in Ukraine, the ministry reported.

"In all, the following targets have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation: 652 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 41,034 unmanned aerial vehicles, 590 surface-to-air missile systems, 20,702 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,510 multiple rocket launchers, 20,845 field artillery guns and mortars and 30,540 special military motor vehicles," the ministry said.
