During the vote, numerous violations of the law and all-round ballot-box stuffing were revealed. All this resulted in imposing on the nation the will of the Saakashvili regime that betrayed the interests of Georgia to please third nations. The people cannot be permanently scared, cheated and robbed! Nobody may deprive the people of their fundamental rights and belief in justice without punishment! As a result, the authorities face mass protest rallies that will accrue, and it will become the beginning of the end of the authoritarian regime. The people have the right to restore the truth, and may use any legal forms to express their protest and dissatisfaction. Surely this strugglet should not take the form of violation of law and order, disobedience to legitimate demands of the authorities.
The Georgian nation is poising on the brink of disaster. Today, we should be organized, consistent and vigilant more than ever. We should not act on impulse and under provocation. We should not take leave of our senses and respond with violence
It sounds strange but international observers became irritants for the Georgian population. They were absolutely prejudged, cynical and impudent to persistently impose their will on Georgia that irritated people and caused protest actions. To people understand their hypocrisy and efforts to keep a person in power in Georgia, who is attendant on his American bosses, who defends their vested interests in the region, who under a mask of a fighter for unified Georgia exposed to a risk the integrity, security and independence of his country, who adjudged his nation to fear and beggary, and who wants to deprive the people of pride.
We saw how the American and European observers turned a blind eye to all violations, ballot-box stuffing and threading down of the democracy, and without a twinge of conscience applied their double standards to unanimously glorify the mockery of the Georgian people and the law. We saw how they did all their best to retain the rule of their vassals in Georgia, to make our country its weapons range and our people – their servants. They betrayed the aspirations of the opposition that trusted them, consulted with them, expected honesty and impartiality of them.
Secretary General of the Council of Europe Tarry Davis urged the opposition to be politically mature. He requested to hand over all documents to international observers and wait for official results. He said that the protest rallies are premature. In so doing, Saakashvili celebrated his victory already in a few hours after the vote and invited guests to his inauguration without vote results. And certain leaders of the most "democratic" states were in rush to congratulate him already at that time.
Diter Boden, Head of the OSCE observer mission, claimed: “ We know, that the processes of vote count and totalization were not perfect. We heard many arguments and even saw several documents confirming it. All of us are obliged to carefully investigate these issues. But once again I want to emphasize that the facts we heard and saw until now, will hardly make us to revise our words. We do not think that mass stealing of elections took place.”
The question now arises: what in this case is the mass stealing of elections? Assume that the violations resulted in “a count error” of 10 per cent. But the second round needed only two per cent! And if the observers are not interested in the truth and they are not going to revise their judgment what is the need to present evidence of ballot-box stuffing? Who asked you to impose your opinion and will on the Georgian people? Gentlemen, it seems that you probably forgot that Georgia is one of the most ancient civilized countries worldwide with its high culture and centuries-long Orthodox Church.
James Apaturay, NATO official representative, said: “ We welcome the initial results of the voting in Georgia that indicate that it was a real expression of free choice by the Georgian people. All shortcomings revealed by the international observers should be removed before the parliamentary election scheduled for this spring”.
Tell me, what is a connection between the military alliance and presidential election of Georgia? It would be clear, if the representative spoke about a referendum on the membership of Georgia in this Alliance. (By the way, this poll was also completely fixed. We think that Georgia said “No”.) And how is it possible to speak about a free choice, not hearing the voice of the Georgian people? At last, to whom does Mr.Apartuay give his instruction to remove the shortcomings? Is it true that the corrections will be followed by the revision of the results and with the second round, as well as non-recognition of the results by the international community? And all this in this spring, after the inauguration? It sounds ridiculously.
I think it is a next cheat on the Georgian people when they are advised to forget about the presidential election and recommended to switch their attention to the future parliamentary election. What is this - taking care of the opposition’s future or warning to the current state authorities to take into account the mistakes and conceal criminal actions better in the spring?
For us it is not a secret long ago that the scenario of the last election was written in the American Embassy, that everything was predetermined beforehand, and the puppet regime of Saakashvili implemented this scenario meanly and dirtly. We have already sent telegrams, letters and Internet messages to the aforesaid organizations. We understand very well what the West led by the USA wants from the Caucasian region. They want to exploit its geographical location for their economic and military purposes. Besides, they need regular provocations against Russia by means of their satellites, and rivalry with Russia to deteriorate its world positions. In Azerbaijan they may really interested in the energy resources. But in Georgia and Armenia, they have nothing to take from these countries. They are not interested at all in the territorial and economic problems of our countries. It is just completely impudent attitude of an egoist to his younger "partners".
Saakashvili tumbles over himself to please his bosses. Thus he resorts to regular provocations and invectives against Russia. Thus he tries to become a resident agent of the USA in the Caucasus and even in Ukraine. He trades in everything he has and as ably as he can. Georgia itself has been sold out already, now they trade in their behavior. And in this connection it is a pity that our current president does not care of the interests of his country and people, and of their future at least for a minute. Meanwhile, Georgia needs just a pro-Georgian policy, which interests include both neighborly and economic relations with Russia, and integration into international structures. It is necessary to maintain a balance of interests and pursue a weighed policy, to precisely assess own potential, needs and desires, to take care first of all of the national interests, and then the interests of the neighbors, and further downstream the importance.
It is encouraging that the Georgian people start understanding it, and the veil drawn by the violent propaganda starts falling down. It was expressly confirmed by the referendum on the membership in NATO when objectively speaking, the population responded negatively. We again need to take into account that for Saakashvili the proper results of this poll were the main task set by the USA and a kind of security for his support. Here he also failed to avoid falsification. And even if we would accept those of 60 per cent just drawn under the fear and pressure, it is still a shattering defeat of the current authorities and their anti-Russian, i.e. anti-Georgian policy. I am sure that if the referendum were conducted on the neutralism of Georgia that actually should correspond to the policy of our country, 95 per cent of the citizens would vote “For”.
The policy of the heads of small states should be especially weighed and mature. It is necessary to take care of your own ethnos, and to avoid exposing it to risks and sanctions, instead of striking out wildly and abusing a world power with foam at the mouth moreover when this world power is your neighbor and a state of the same Church that in due time saved and protected Georgia as a state and contributed a lot into its development. One should not have short memory and forget quickly the kindness. Small dogs can bark at the elephant only in fables. And in general, “ don’t spit in the well … ” otherwise you will stay with a hat in hand.
I’d like to believe that Saakashvili does not understand what he is doing. If everything that is done is done intentionally and he understands the consequences of such anti-Georgian policy, it is already not “a self-injury” but a serious criminal act against the nation, i.e. high treason.
We heard it from many people, and it is difficult to disagree that Georgia is a victim of a masonic plot, and, that the Georgian statehood and national self-identification are affected intentionally to destroy them. The Georgian people became hostages in a big struggle of interests of Titans and Masons that may be disastrous for such small nation and may result in the loss of national identity. There are more and more severe concerns over a threat of depopulation in the country. The people are already concerned not with “a piece of bread” but with the future of the nation that is rather foggy in the context of the aforesaid. Concerns are in the air that Saakashvili will lead the Republic to breakdown, and slogan “Georgia without Georgians” is rather feasible.
That is why the opposition forces look such consolidated. Therefore we supported them in Tbilisi and in other cities. And it is not surprising, because the elite and intellectual potential of our nation are concentrated there but not in Marneuli, Samtzhe-Javaheti, mountains of Abkhazia or military contingents in Iraq and Afghanistan. Georgia has recovered its sight, and it will defend to the end its aspirations to a status of an independent and neutral state with its own interests, its own policy aimed at friendly relations and cooperation with all countries and nations. It is ready to do its best to occupy a well-deserved position in the world community and ensure dignified life of its peoples.
We are sincerely sure that Russia expects the same from Georgia because it is interested to have an independent, stable and developed neighbor-state, and maintain economic, cultural and friendly relations with it. We are sure that only Russia can help and wishes to help Georgia in establishment of its statehood, restoration of its territorial integrity and solution of problems relating to strengthening of the independent and neutral status of the country. In so doing, we have to take into account the interests of all parties: both our neighbors and fraternal peoples of Abkhazia and Ossetia. We need to restore credibility of these peoples to the Georgian authorities. We should offer to these peoples a well-deserved position in stable and economically developed Georgia whereas only Russia may be a guarantor and mediator because the majority of the people in Abkhazia and Southern Ossetia are the citizens of the Russian Federation. And whatever somebody thinks but without consideration of these factors all designs and searched of forces to exert an external influence for restoration of the Georgian statehood and reunification of its peoples and territories are blind-alley and unreal in general.
We welcome consolidation of opposition forces and believe it expedient to act widely to attract also other organizations wishing well-being to Georgia regardless of their party affiliation. We wish to the opposition to win a fair and peaceful victory in the current confrontation with the antinational regime of Saakashvili. We wish to the opposition to win at the parliamentary election and pursue a wise pro-Georgian development policy. We wish complete restoration of the Georgian statehood as soon as possible. We wish well-being and good luck to all peoples of our multinational Georgia.
God is with us! Justice and Georgian people are with us, which means the victory!
